His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held a meeting at the Amiri Diwan yesterday with Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the sisterly Republic of Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, during which they discussed relations between the two countries and strengthening them across a variety of fields of bilateral co-operation, as well as regional developments and the efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Amir welcomed the Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council and the accompanying delegation, expressing his thanks to him for responding to the invitation to take part in the Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit, and His Highness’s pleasure at this visit, which reflects the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries.
