The European Union on Monday extended by one year its sanctions regime against those “responsible for destabilizing Sudan and obstructing the country’s political transition.”
The restrictive measures, which were set to expire next month, will now remain in place until Oct. 10, 2026, the European Council said in a statement.
Currently, 10 individuals and 8 entities are subject to EU-wide travel bans, asset freezes, and a prohibition on making funds or economic resources available to them, directly or indirectly
